Illustration Friday: Germs

This weeks Illustration Friday topic is "germs". This is Mr. Hypochondriac, and he's trying to wash away the germs.
Illustration created with Inkscape, except for the background texture which is the original paper that has the image I traced (changed to green color using GIMP).

Illustration Friday: Parade

Here he is. When I think of a parade, I think of clowns.

I confess I didn't even draw this until Thursday, and rushed to get the coloring done on time. Somehow I've got to find more time to work on these.

Hand drawn. Lines and colors done with Inkscape.

Illustration Friday: Talisman

This is my very first post to the Illustration Friday. I had some big plans for this but never got around to it. I would have preferred to have some gems or some markings on the talisman itself. I almost didn't post it at all, but perhaps by doing so I will stay motivated to do more of these in the future.

Drawn by hand then colored with GIMP.

Alien head

I suppose I should hurry up and start posting here.

Here is one of the oldest pieces I've done. This was done back in November of 2004, with whatever version of Adobe Illustrator I had at the time (I think it was 8 or 9). It uses blends, gradient meshes, and transparency masks to give it the 3D feel.

I was just learning about vector graphics at this time and I was really excited that I could make something like this without using any Photoshop.
